A Simple Running Log

Training for 8/3/17

Yesterday morning, I did go out and run an easy 3-miler. Another hot, muggy late-morning summer run.

In the afternoon, Dave and I took the boat to Choptank again. Aunt Debbie and Rick met us there, and we went out on the river.

It was another perfect day for the boat. I skied, Dave skied and wakeboarded, and then Rick wanted to try the wakeboard. Aunt Debbie was a little concerned he’d further hurt his back after complaining about some pain there the last several days, but it turned out she didn’t have to worry about his back — he tore a biceps instead. Yowza! That is one injury we have never seen on the boat.

It apparently wasn’t anything a little ice and a few beers couldn’t handle haha. We beached the boat and hung out for a while. Then I skied again, Dave skied and kneeboarded, and we finally hit up Suicide again and headed back to the marina.

Today, sadly, we couldn’t go out on the boat, and I don’t think we’re going to make it out tomorrow either. Hopefully we find some time over the weekend.

I didn’t run today either. Tomorrow was supposed to be a rest day, but then I signed up for a 7K (4.35-mile) trail race in Salisbury tomorrow evening, so I made today a rest day instead.
