A Simple Running Log

Training for 3/3/17

This morning, I got up early and went out do the run I skipped yesterday because it was too windy, before it got too windy again. Also, Clark was still home, so I got to avoid the HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO MEEEEE???? looks from Pepper that I usually get as soon as I put on running clothes.

It has gotten pretty damn cold here again. The last time I ran, two mornings ago, I was in shorts and a T-shirt and probably could’ve skipped the shirt. Today was below freezing, so I had to wear a bit more clothing.

I did an easy lap around the 5.5-mile loop. I guess my hands decided they’re not dealing with winter now that we’ve had that taste of spring, because they went numb inside gloves that used to be enough. Other than that, it was a normal run.

This weekend, I’ve got a 4-miler and the last double-digit run before Shamrock, a 12-miler. I think it’s supposed to be the coldest tomorrow, so I’ll probably do the shorter run tomorrow and save the longer one for Sunday.

Other than that, all we’ve got planned is to somehow get Clark’s mostly immobile truck to the mechanic who’s going to replace the clutch next week, and the second NASCAR race of the season is Sunday afternoon.
