A Simple Running Log

Training for 2/9/17

The weather took quite a turn overnight. Yesterday, I ran in shorts and a tank top (and probably would’ve been just fine without the tank top.)

Today:

balaclava

The balaclava was VERY much needed for today’s 5.5-mile run in 27 mph wind and a feels like temp well down in the 20s. Stupid weather!

As annoying as the colder, windier weather was, it really wasn’t a bad run at all.

I think tomorrow is going to be cold and breezy again, but then Saturday, for the 50K, it’s supposed to be around freezing when we start and warm up to 60 by the afternoon. That’s going to be tough to dress for, but we do have the option to leave a drop bag at the halfway turnaround, so I’ll be able to change into a lighter top or leave behind layers and/or gloves and an earband.
