A Simple Running Log

Training for 6/15/16

Today, I waited until the afternoon to run, again, but it was cooler than yesterday and overcast, so I took Pepper with me. We did an easy lap around the 4.5-mile loop. Other than when Pepper almost tripped me trying to get away from a completely stationary chunk of asphalt that had somehow managed to startle him, it was an unremarkable run.

Clark is already working out again after Eagleman. I don’t think he’s settled on his next goal, but he mentioned an Olympic-distance triathlon in Crisfield in September. That’s a 0.93-mile swim, 40K (24.8-mile) bike ride and 10K run. There’s also a duathlon that same day I might try if I get my own bike. Instead of the swim, the duathlon starts with a 5K run. Then you also do the 40K bike ride and 10K run.

Anyway, Clark went for a short run last night, and earlier he asked me to take the bikes out with him again this evening. We’re going to try riding to my brother’s house and back, 32 miles round trip, which will be a big distance PR on a bike for me.
