It took me all day, but I finally got my run in.
I had to be at work early enough this morning that I didn’t get up in time to run the six miles on the schedule beforehand. I packed some running clothes, planning to run in between this morning’s meeting and one I have to cover tonight.
The afternoon kinda slipped away, and before I knew it, it was getting close to too late to run at all before the sun went down if I didn’t get my butt moving. I drove to Tuckahoe State Park and changed into shorts and a long-sleeved T-shirt in the parking lot.
I knew I didn’t have time to get in six miles on the trails at that point, so I settled on four. I took off in the direction of the arboretum. I had the Garmin, so I knew when I hit two miles and thus should turn around.
It was a pretty easy run. The trails were completely deserted except for a few deer and some squirrels. I got back to my car in time to get out of the parking lot before they closed the gate at sunset.
I’ll run a little farther than scheduled tomorrow to make up for my procrastination today.
